Supporting Safety on the Water:
Coast Medic Delivers Training to Mylor & Flushing Gig Club
This week, Coast Medic was proud to deliver a tailored training session to members of the Mylor & Flushing Gig Club, focusing on how to effectively manage medical emergencies while afloat. The aim of the session was to help crews plan ahead and feel confident in responding to a range of incidents on the water, from injuries to more serious emergencies.
Key discussions included how to assess and stabilise casualties afloat, effective communication with emergency services, and identifying the most suitable local ambulance liaison points for rapid access to further care.
The training was provided free of charge as part of our ongoing charitable commitment to the marine community. At Coast Medic, we believe that preparation and education are key to safety at sea.
